You met a very attractive guy or lady, you go out and everything is going well, that person is into you, digging you, as well you are digging her. If you wait to have sex, you might never have sex with that person, but if you have sex with that person, then that relationship is not off to a great start.
If you want a relationship with that person, then having sex on the first night is not a great way to kick it off. If that person have sex with you the first night how many other people (or animals if they are into that, lol) they have sex with on the first night or when the relationship is just starting off.
How long should I wait
How long you should wait is up to your beliefs, religon, etc. I recommend at least 2 months, with steady dating. That way the feeling can come or the feelings is not there. ( I mean the real feelings, not love at first sight). I heard 6 months, but that is a long time, but if I am into a lady, I will wait.
To the ladies:
A note to the ladies, giving it up in the beginning, especially on the first date, is not a great way to have a long term boyfriend, because the guy is thinking, if she is willing to have sex with me on the first date, how many other guys has she have sex in the beginning and you just be a booty call, if he likes you. I believe the longer the lady waits (but not too long) to have sex, the guy will think of you more of a long term girlfriend or at least gets you more points. The thing though guys do not like to wait, so you have to be the judge for how long you should wait.
To the guys
To my homies: The first few dates act like a gentleman, I mean give her a kiss, etc, but try not to take no further than that. She will respect you a lot more. I mean act like you are into her, but give her some space. The more dates she has been on with other guys, if you wait just a little bit, she be like “wow, this guy is waited, every other guy was always trying to get into my pants”. You want to at least give her a kiss or something, for she knows that you are into her. Oh yeah, one more thing, NO means NO, dont force it. I mean it is ok to try on the next date, but if you keep trying 10 times a night, that is not good.I learn my lesson the hard way, well not in sex but in sales over the phone (years ago), This lady kept saying no a few times, I kept asking and finally got the sale, my sales manager over heard it and took the sale way from me, it was a 1000 dollar sale.
Another reason to wait
You should also wait because you can have more time to go on dates with no strings attach. I mean it is lot harder to break up with somebody when the sex is great or you do not want to hurt their feelings. Also what if that person thinks you are lousy in bed, if it is the beginning and that person is not into you, then they would probably say adios, but if you wait, it would be a lot harder to break up when wit you because that person cares about you. Besides the longer you wait with a person, the less likely you will contract STD
The questions
The first thing you need to ask yourself is “do I want a relationship with somebody, meaning something more long term, instead of a day or week” ( I had plenty of those, it just did not work out.) If you just want a one night stand or a booty call, then I think it is ok to have sex with that person, as long as they feel the same way and you are not leading them on.
The second question is to ask yourself: How do I feel about this person? Do I see myself going out with her more often? Was everything just flowing like the conversation?
